True Gem Chinese Shar Pei Puppies For Sale

Shar Pei puppies placed in homes as pets and companions by True Gem Chinese Shar Pei are on a strict spay/neuter contract and must be spayed/neutered at six months of age. Placing a Shar Pei puppy in a home as a pet does not refer to poor health, structure or temperament. It simply means that these puppies are being placed in homes as pets and companions and are not to be used in a breeding program.

We strongly believe that only people knowledgeable about the Shar Pei breed and their hereditary problems should breed Chinese Shar Pei to prevent the decline and destruction of the breed and protect future generations. Therefore, we do not place puppies in pet homes with breeding rights.

Shar Pei puppies are ready to go to their new homes when they are approximately 8 weeks of age. At the time they leave True Gem for their new homes, all puppies will have been vaccinated, wormed and have had their dewclaws removed. Please refer to our section on Vaccinations to read about the specific vaccinations that True Gem will give each puppy and our recommendations about vaccinations needed after leaving True Gem. And please refer to our section on Heartworm & Parasites to read about the worming medications given to each Shar Pei puppy before leaving True Gem and our recommendations for Heartworm preventative.

We also require that new owners have the ability and desire to provide their new family member with a loving home, proper care and training, and health management. Bringing a Shar Pei puppy into your home is a life time (an average of 10 years) commitment to the dog. This responsibility should never be taken lightly.
